"How To Reverse The #1 Imposter of Aging...
Crossed Posture Syndrome"
Today's show will be about one of my favorite topics and it's also where our
mission and purpose is heading for our business. SO many people I treat on a daily basis have the SAME contorted pattern
of muscle imalance that I have called "Crossed Posture Sydrome" or CPS.
Just imagine a child with cerebral palsy and you'll get the picture of what severely advanced CPS looks like.
That same neurological pattern happens to YOU when you're under stress!
But
it just happens slower over time so you don't really notice the "program" or "pattern" you get yourself
into. But take a walk through a nursing home and you'll see this "stress" pattern loud and clear.
(Curled up, shoulder's hunched and forward, hips turned in, head poked forward, shuffling gait).
These folks are not victims of "aging", they're victims of LACK OF KNOWLEDGE! My promise is that
if you stick with me and take what I say to heart, you CAN keep the "CPS" pattern from happening to you! BUT...
And it's a BIG BUT! You have to realize and accept the fact that your posture is
a 3 dimensional projection of the conscious choices you make about the way you think, the way you move, the way you
breathe, and the way you eat.
Now if you're always looking on the "dark"
side of things and living a life of worry, doubt, fear, and shame, do you think you might end up with posture program that's
"uptight" and "close down". This is PROTECTION MODE and your body reacts very predictably.
So your action step today is to just listen to yourself think!
Shad Helmstetter in his book "What to Say When You Talk To Yourself" (out of print now, I think) is the
first one to bring this to my attention about 10 years ago. Just make a list of the top 10 negative self talk statements
you say to yourself on a daily basis. START CATCHING YOURSELF!!
Then take
that list and write the "antidote" statement. For instance..."I just can't lose weight! is replaced
with "I'm so grateful that I'm in the process of healthy weight loss!"
You write it out. You MUST write it, not just think it. When you write it your mind knows your not just
kidding around. Keep writing out your new "wiring" before bed and on awakening for as long as it takes to
get those thoughts to start popping into your mind other parts or the day as well.
This is success 101 talk and it's one way you can start to "rewire" your thoughts, which then
create molecules of "peace and renewal" in your body instead of molecules of "breakdown".
It's a fundamental step because nothing happens until it's a thought first. So
changing your thoughts can change your reality...guaranteed.
